the teapro philosophy: taste meets tradition
We believe that a “functional” tea should still be a delicious one. While many herbal teas are sought out for their wellness properties, we only source botanicals that offer an exceptional flavour profile.
Whether it is the silky, refreshing sweetness of Bamboo Leaf or the creamy, comforting notes of Oat Straw, every herb in our collection is chosen for its purity, origin, and superior taste.
butterfly pea: nature’s colour-changer
One of our most popular botanicals is the Butterfly Pea Flower. Native to Southeast Asia, it produces a naturally brilliant cobalt-blue infusion.
The real magic happens when you change the pH level – simply add a squeeze of lemon or lime, and watch the tea transform from deep blue to a vibrant magenta purple. It’s a favourite for natural food colouring, creative cocktails, and a truly “magical” tea experience.
rare and underappreciated botanicals
Our mission is to bring you the hidden gems of the botanical world that you won’t find on most shelves.
Greek Mountain Tea (Sideritis): Hand-harvested in the Mediterranean, this whole-flower herb is prized for its earthy, citrusy sweetness and ancient healing reputation.
Black Mallow: A visual marvel that produces a strikingly deep violet infusion, offering a mellow flavour that pairs beautifully with other florals.
Lotus Tea: An ancient tea of peace and meditation, known for its elegant floral aroma and calming effect on the spirit.
how to brew herbal teas
Most herbs are quite hardy and require boiling water to fully release their essential oils and therapeutic compounds.
Water temperature: 100°C (Boiling)
Amount: 3-5g per 350ml
Steep time: 5-10 minutes (Unlike “true” tea, herbs rarely become bitter from long steeping)
Tip: Keep your cup covered while steeping to prevent the beneficial volatile oils from escaping with the steam!
perfect for home blending
One of the joys of our herbal collection is the ability to become your own “tea alchemist.”
Because we source single-origin, high-grade botanicals, you can use them as building blocks to create your own signature blends. Try adding Bamboo Leaf to a green tea for a mineral-rich lift, or mixing Black Mallow with Lotus Tea for a floral, colour-shifting experience.
are all herbal teas caffeine-free?
Almost all of our herbal teas are naturally caffeine-free, making them the perfect choice for evening relaxation or for those with caffeine sensitivities.
Note: The only exception in our shop is Yerba Mate, which is a powerful natural stimulant. We clearly label our Mate separately to help you choose the right energy level for your day.
what are the health benefits of herbal tea?
While we can’t list every single benefit, herbal teas have been used for millennia to support the body. From the relaxing, magnesium-rich properties of Oat Straw to the immune-supporting tradition of Greek Mountain Tea.
Each herb carries its own unique “signature,” providing a natural, gentle way to support your daily wellness goals through hydration and plant power.
can you cold brew herbal tea?
Many of our botanicals make incredible cold infusions. Barley Tea is perhaps the most famous example, served over ice across Asia as a hydrating, savoury summer drink.
Floral herbals like Butterfly Pea or Hibiscus also shine when cold-brewed, offering a vibrant, sugar-free alternative to juice that looks stunning in a glass pitcher.
how should I store herbal tea?
Herbs are sensitive to humidity and strong odours. To keep their aromatics fresh, store them in a cool, dark place in airtight jars.
Dried flowers and leaves are delicate; treat them with care and try to enjoy them within 12 months for the most potent flavour and benefits.
is herbal tea good for beginners?
If you find the complexity of “true” teas (like Pu Erh or Oolong) a bit daunting, herbal teas are the perfect starting point. They are easy to brew, familiar in flavour, and very forgiving.
