This incredible vibrant Ceremonial Grade Matcha is grown in Southern Kyushu. This region is known as Land of Fire for two reasons:
Firstly, this is where the land of the rising sun sees the first sun rises and the tea plants receive their first Spring.
Secondly, and arguably the main reason is due to the constant volcanic activity surrounding Kyushu where geothermal energy creates natural hot springs and fertile ash soils.
Our matcha green tea is grown near Kagoshima which sits within view of the active volcanoes of Sakurajima Island, known as Cherry Blossom Island.
Ceremonial grade matcha is the highest quality matcha powder made from young, shade-grown tea leaves. It has a vibrant green colour, smooth texture, and delicate, sweet flavour. It is traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies.
Yes, ceremonial grade matcha can be enjoyed every day. It contains antioxidants and natural caffeine for energy. Drinking it daily supports focus, metabolism, and overall wellbeing when consumed in moderation.
Look for a bright green colour, fine texture, and sweet grassy aroma. Ceremonial grade matcha is usually more expensive and sold in smaller quantities. Checking the packaging for origin and grade helps ensure quality.
Ceremonial grade matcha is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and amino acids. It boosts energy, improves mental clarity, supports detoxification, and can aid weight management. Its natural caffeine provides a calm, focused alertness.
Ceremonial grade matcha has a more refined flavour but is not necessarily stronger in caffeine. It offers a smoother, less bitter taste compared to culinary grades, making it ideal for drinking straight without additives.
Most experts recommend 1 to 2 grams of ceremonial grade matcha per day, which is about half to one teaspoon. This amount balances health benefits without excess caffeine intake.
Ceremonial grade matcha is best enjoyed plain to appreciate its delicate flavour. While you can use it in lattes, culinary grade matcha is better suited for milk-based drinks because it has a stronger flavour and is more affordable. Using ceremonial grade matcha in lattes is possible but less common.

I absolutely love this matcha powder - I’ve tried several others but keep coming back to this. It’s such a fine powder and has so much flavour other than just the typical ‘grassy’ matcha flavour. Delicious by itself or in an iced latte.
Top notch matcha! I never would have thought matcha could taste so good without any milk or honey - it's naturally sweet and really refreshing.
I've tried lots of matcha teas in the past and this one is by far the most delicious one I've had - so smooth and fragrant! I literally can't get enough of it!
Love the refreshing taste of Matcha and aroma. I like their sustainable mini-whisk is made out of sturdy bamboo and is perfect for on-the-go matcha making!
