Yes – sifting Matcha breaks up clumps and ensures a smooth, frothy brew. Without it, you risk a gritty, uneven texture that dulls both flavour and appearance.
A stainless steel sieve works best – our sieve is tight enough to break powder lumps and wide enough to let fine Matcha fall through easily
Rinse immediately after use with warm water. Dishwasher safe.
You’ll need to whisk extra vigorously, but some clumps may remain. Sifting takes just a few seconds and makes a noticeable difference.
Yes – sifting is a standard step in the Japanese tea ceremony. It shows care, respect, and ensures the highest quality texture and presentation.
